It is the Centennial of the
Rose Festival this year. We caught the kick off but most of the events happen after we leave. Today we headed up to the Washington Park Test Gardens and smelled roses until our noses popped off. We sat and read, ran around and shot photos, and listened to the waterfountains. It was a *perfect* day to spend in a garden.
We went back to the hotel and started packing. We were so wiped out we couldn’t even think about dinner. I ordered from
Mamma Mia’s and picked it up (only 2 blocks away). We were right on the waterfront and at 9:45 when the fireworks started, we just couldn’t stay inside! It was a fantastic end to a great trip.
